On December 17, 2015, Berkun Air received a certified letter from Florida Power & Light (FP&L) stating that once again, were gutting their highly popular energy rebate programs. This time, effective Jan 11, 2016, Berkun Air, along with 1,600 other air conditioning contractors in Florida, will no longer be allowed to offer FP&L energy rebates for consuming less electric. The air conditioning system is really one of the biggest consumers of energy in the state of Florida. The energy rebate program was initiated to save energy at the state level, to cut down on the need to build and maintain very expensive utility plants.
Over the past decade, the FP&L Energy Rebate Program was not only very popular, it was enough of an incentive to buy energy efficient air conditioning systems that slashed energy needs. Maybe too much say some. Apparently, there has been a rethinking at the state level that authorizes this public utility to put more concern for the stock holders of FP&L.
Berkun to Honor FP&L and Trane Expired Rebate Programs
Effective immediately, Berkun Air will continue to honor FP&L’s Energy Rebates that are no longer available. These rebates can be as high as $1,930 in rebates paid directly by Berkun Air. And as an added incentive, Berkun Air will continue to honor Trane’s 2015 Fall Promotional Rebates that expired on November 15, 2015. An example of a common rebate is $1,000 off for a trade-in allowance for a Trane XV20i SEER 20 Air Conditioning System. Both incentive offers are good for the month of February, 2016.
To find out more about theses two previously popular rebate offers, call Berkun Air at (561) 842-4362 for details. This offer won’t last long.
