Berkun Air Discusses Energy Efficiency

LED Lighting InstalledOld LightsAs owner to Berkun Air Conditioning located in West Palm Beach, Florida, I’ve always been conscious about saving energy.  It’s not just good for the planet, it’s very good on your wallet.

I wasn’t always like this, but I’ve discovered the savings in every day life.  At the shop, I slashed my energy costs by converting from traditional mercury vapor lighting to low power commercial LED lighting throughout our facility.  Each overhead commercial light fixture use to consumer a whopping 2400 watts per lighting fixture.  By switching to commercial LED lighting, I’ve slashed my energy usage down to a mere 480 watts.  The savings were dramatic and I felt it every time I wrote a check out to pay my utilities.

1st year Energy Savings and FPL Rebate based on a 3-ton capacity unit described earlier. FPL Rebate offered by and subject to terms set by FPL. Berkun Rebate are up to $1000 and based on the purchase of TRANE A/C systems that are rated at 17 - 20 SEER and is valid March - May, 2014.

For our customers, we have always been one of the leaders in Palm Beach County that advocated the use of highly efficient air conditioning systems that have had immediate payback, and our customers have told us how thankful they are.

LEED Platinum Certified Plaque - First in Palm Beach - Berkun Air Designs Air Systems that slash operating costsCustom home builders have also come to understand that Berkun Air can be counted on to deliver energy efficient designs that make a huge difference.  In 2013, Berkun Air was part of a team that designed and built the first LEED Platinum certified home in  Palm Beach.  That’s a biggy.  This home was not only highly efficient, it looked great and utilized local materials too where possible.  The specs on the home are amazing.  Check out the why they are such a great investment.  Our changes to the original design helped push the points rating to a level that earned this home a LEED Platinum Home Award.

Berkun Air Conditioning Vans – Now More Energy Efficient Too

Berkun Air Adds Energy Efficient Vans to Fleet

Berkun-Air-West-Palm-Beach-Van-Rear-400-pixNew to the Berkun Air Conditioning fleet is the 2016 Ford Transit.  This van design has been highly popular in Europe, but only recently, have they become popular here in Florida.

Using a more efficient 3.7 Liter VI-VCT V6 engine, as opposed to the typical Ford 5.7L V8 engine, the motor produces plenty of power at a substantial savings, while still providing plenty of reliable power to get the job done.   A 6-speed automatic transmissions delivers smooth power and is capable of handing a payload of over 2 tons with ease.

The Ford Transit is much cheaper to run too, both in fuel and maintenance savings.  This helps keep our costs down to offer you the best value possible.  Did I say that it’s much cleaner too?
